Artist history is generally very boring, so I'll use this space to try to explain my love for the guitar.
It's like this: I'm interested in anything that is acoustic and has strings and frets on it. Over the years I collected some great (and some not so great) instruments, which I all play on a regular basis.
My main "handicap" it that I'm left-handed and that I was brave (read: stupid) enough to play like that too. However, I used this in my advantage to convince myself (and some people around me) that I needed a hand-made acoustic guitar because good factory southpaw guitars were nowhere to be found. And so I'm the proud owner of some very nice custom made instruments.
My favourite guitar, I guess, is my steel string Jumbo guitar, which is a real monster that is capable of a lot of noise but at the same time can be very quiet and gentle. You can hear it on some of the recordings. Most players tend to choose a particular instrument for each piece, and while this also applies to me when I record a piece, it is more the state of mind that I'm in that decides which instrument I pick up when I simply want to play something. I'm generally the happiest when playing steel string guitar, a bit too energetic for my own good when I play a lot of 12-string, and when I start playing classical guitar for a couple of days that's usually a sign that something's wrong in my life at that time.
