On 14.05.2004 I have begun project called "COMMATOR" with the purpose of the practical application of 53 tone equal tempered scale (53 t.e.t.). Some music results of my experiments are available now on audio CD "Another Tuning". This scale is very good for approximation of Pythagorean scale. The Just Intonation may be very well approximated by this scale too. The least distance between the notes of this scale is between Didymus and Pythagorean commas. It can be named Holdrian comma (H-comma). Since 1876 such instrument for H-commas named by R. H. M. Bosanquet enharmonic harmonium but I think that name commator is better for instrument with equal tempered commas. More about instruments with not only 12 tone equal temperament (12 t.e.t.) read in article "The general keyboard in the age of MIDI" by John S. Allen. Also you can read the good short article about 12 t.e.t. "Twelve-Tone Musical Scale" by Keith Enevoldsen.
In interpreted scores for playing them in 53 t.e.t. each note have a sonantometric formula and pitch bend for 12 t.e.t. Some notes will have special accidentals. These accidentals in accordance with system from "Scala" software by Manuel Op de Coul are added to indicate how many H-commas these notes must be sharp or flat for approximated Pythagorean scale by 53 t.e.t.
The sounding of the score is tested by hearing and the fragments with false sound are detected. The formulas for cleaning these fragments are found.
Let me know about fragments with false sound detected by you!
I would be glad if your criticism will help me to make the better interpretations.
